Tom Shobbrook’s six year stint at Riecine in Italy, combined with a love for all things hand-plucked and grown from the land all blend into his wine ethos. Now ensconced in the family vineyard in Seppeltsfield, Tom has full control over 10 hectares of Shiraz, Mourvedre and other smaller plantings. Everything is biodynamically-managed, with other sourced vineyard material also BD. Furthermore, Tom’s production is completely non-interventionist; only natural yeasts, no inputs, combined with ferments in barrel, clay eggs, long post-fermentation skin contact and prolonged natural malo create wines with true character and life.
Tom has two labels; Shobbrook represents primarily Seppeltsfield fruit and Didi wines his Italianate- influenced range of Natural wines from the Adeliade Hills.
